Okay, it might be a little counterproductive to think of it this way, Comprised mainly of smaller medium-chain fatty acids, the oil is also able to penetrate more deeply and faster than most other conditioners, and because it's 100% natural you can use it as much as you like without any damage. Hi Charity. It sounds like your hair needs some nourishment! All is not lost, though, coconut oil should soon sort you out. I'd recommend using coconut oil a few times a week, regular trims (to keep your hair healthy and from splitting, which will lead to it shortening) and finally the inversion method to stimulate hair growth. I hope this helps :) Izumi on January 8, 2018 at 7:17 am North Eastern Coconut oil saved my scalp AND my hair! Everybody should try the ingredients and methods this article mentions! I used to have a very itchy scalp and my hair was very dry and brittle, due to the fact that I was on and off the swim team for a good decade, so spending one - two hours in chlorine really showed on my hair, and then of course the Saturday swim meets we had every week, doesn't really help! I went for a good year (at the end of 2015, up to September 2016) dying my hair all kinds of colors every two months, and this did show as well. My hair also grew very slow due to how unhealthy it was. I started doing coconut oil masks (with yoghurt and honey) once a week (on and off for three months) and my hair has grown close to two inches, in three months! My hair feels sososososo much better ever since I started taking care of it and it has shown! My boyfriend's mother used to be a hair stylist and she said a couple weeks ago that my hair looks better than ever, and this is only month three of my hair care journey! I plan on getting a perm done hopefully by September of next year, hoping that these treatments can get my hair is top shape before I kill it off again. But yeah, coconut oil is pretty much my safe haven to all my hair problems! Especially the itchy scalp problem. I was AMAZED that my scalp didn't itch 30 minutes later, the night I put the coconut oil mask in my hair... it hasn't itched since! (Now given, every now and then it does, but it isn't a constant pain anymore!) and head massages actually FEEL GOOD to me now. They used to feel weird to me but now I do it every time I get out of the shower. I don't always do the inversion method, but I do massage my scalp a lot now. I'm surprised I've been so committed to getting my hair in top shape, as it takes a lot for me to be committed to anything lol let alone DEDICATED. People do need to try the inversion method, and even just massaging your scalp when you get done showering... I swear I can feel my scalp warm up after a good minute or two of massaging it. That my friend, is magic lol. workshop development Brush your hair for not more than five to 10 minutes every day. Hi! I have rather dry curls, and have previously absolutely soaked my hair in oil with no negative results. Do you think it would be safe to do an oil treatment twice a week with my hair, if I use a lighter oil?? Hi Kaylee, the Inversion Method is free to do too! Haha. How long the anagen phase lasts depends on how long your hair is and if the cells in your follicle base are continuing to multiply and become hair cells. Hair grows because matrix cells shed some of their structure as they reach the upper follicle. The shed structure combines with keratins to form hair strands that exit your skin’s surface. (Image: E+) MORE Shetty on October 22, 2017 at 4:45 am Hello, I just found your blog and was interested in your thoughts. My hair seems grows pretty fast, I've had it short for the past 4 years and the cut usually gets messy after about 8 weeks. This drives me nuts, previously I always had long hair and found it easier to manage. Now I want to grow it out quickly and I've noted your comments on coconut, argon and olive oils but was curious as I've seen no one mention cold pressed castor oil. I've found this fantastic for my eyelashes and started using it for its rejuvenating and growing properties. I would have thought the properties in it that are useful for lashes ie the nutrients and folicle stimulation would work the same with hair. The cold pressed castor oil seems to be valued higher for eyelash growth than the other three oils that are mentioned here for hair. Just wondering, lol, discuss. It reduces friction and suck less moisture from your hair than cotton pillow cases do. Beauty Tips Free Online Games COMPANY Want to stay smart and healthy? Asian hair is on average the thickest and most coarse hair compared to Caucasian and African hair. Now I am of Asian descent but my mother has very thin hair while my father has very thick hair. I have a combination of both their hair so I have thick hair strands but unfortunately not much of them! Thanks! I agree the tips could benefit anyone.
