Usually the permanent hair/roots remain on the back side and the sides of the head, up to 2-3 inches above the ear lobule. Rest of the hair roots on the scalp, i.e. on front, top (vertex) are temporary. In some males, the roots just below and back side of the top of head and nape of neck, i.e. posterior hair line are temporary also. Only expert and highly intelligent surgeons can distinguish between the permanent and temporary roots. When we call it temporary, it does not mean that these hairs will definitely fall. Who will become bald at which point of time is difficult to predict. But whoever is a male, is a potential for baldness, because of the male hormone – Testosterone running in his blood. Watch the video: Yoga Poses for Less Stress and Better Sleep   Some research data says that one of the causes of male hair loss might be maternal genetics. Scientists suspect the X chromosome, which is transmitted by a mother to her sons. Therefore, you can get the general idea about your hair as an adult when you look at the hair of your mother’s male relatives. Unfortunately, the genes you inherited from your father may also become the reason of hair loss. So, sometimes knowing your family history may help in identifying the reason of baldness.
Those who have it, love it. Those who don’t, miss it. And those who are in the process of losing it, well, they’ll do anything to keep it. We’re talking of course about hair. The easiest thing might be to blame your parents for that thinning crown you own, or the balding scalp. Yet not all causes of hair loss trace back to your gene pool. So for the sake of not being cut out of the will, cut your parents some slack.

Thinning hair and hair loss: Could it be female pattern hair loss? Hair loss in women is far more common than most people think.  It has been reported that as many as one in four women currently suffer from hair loss, but this number may even be far higher in women of African-American descent.  In fact, according to findings presented this past month at the American Academy of Dermatology’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C., more than 47% of the nearly 6,000 African-American women surveyed in a recent Boston University study reported having experienced at least some degree of hair loss.  Even more startling was the fact that, of those women reporting hair loss, more than 80% had not seen a doctor about it.  Women’s hair loss has long been a taboo subject, but at our new Griffin Center for Women’s Hair Loss we are working hard to remove this stigma by providing the latest information and newest treatment options for women everywhere.
